Duties
- Operate various industrial sewing machines, including sergers and frenching machines, to assemble and finish products according to specifications.
- Measure fabric materials and finished products using precise measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Follow detailed pattern construction and seam construction guidelines to maintain quality standards in production.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse or production area, including manual vinyl and leather cutting when necessary.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the sewing process, inspecting for defects and ensuring compliance with quality standards in production.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to safety standards in production and handling materials properly.
Skills
- Proficiency with Industrial sewing machines while working with leather and vinyls.
- Strong understanding of quality standards in production to ensure consistent product excellence.
- Expertise in seam construction, Auto, boating or Airline upholstery sewing, and construction techniques.
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines, including sergers, frenching machines, three needle, seven needle, juki, deco welt machines
- Knowledge of materials handling processes within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Skilled in manual cutting (fabric cutting) to prepare materials for sewing projects.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to promote a safe workplace.
- Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for quality control purposes.
- Understanding of fabric materials used in various manufacturing applications such as upholstery .
- Experience with sewing techniques and reading the patterns to ensure product quality.
- Background in manufacturing processes. Excellence in Sewing Experience with an emphasis on quality assurance and efficiency.
