Full Job Description
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Maintain quality and adhere to quality standards at all times.
· Maintain stable production-delivery.
· Manage timekeeping and attendance.
· Task assignment to team members.
· Achievement of health and safety standards.
· Implement appropriate corrective action where necessary.
· Update activity boards on required build schedule.
· Reduce defects at hand over of parts.
· Ensure daily delivery cycle requirements and hand over dates are met.
· Manage and control issuing and receiving of parts and consumables
· Drive Continues Improvements within department.
· Manage and maintain 5’s Implementations.
· Maintain training files monthly
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· : Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
· : National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Production Management/Engineering or related field.
· : Trade Certificate / knowledge of solid wood
· : At least 3-4 years production related experience.
Thorough knowledge and experience of all aspects of a Carpentry, Joinery and Cabinet Making
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Able to work weekends and overtime.
Able to work under pressure.
Display initiative and lead by example.
Have a thorough understanding of the quality condition within the company.
Work to a fixed Production Schedule.
Able to understand Drawings and Lay up schedules.
COMPETENCIES:
· Good leadership, planning, organising, communication and control skills.
· Able to motivate staff to meet desired outcomes.
· Decision Making.
