COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT & DOMESTIC HOME APPLIANCES
JOB TITLE: In house workshop repair technician – Commercial laundry equipment & Domestic Home Appliance (Cape Town office) General Summary: We are looking for a workshop appliance repair technician. The technician will be required to repair and service Domestic home appliances (washers & dryers), and commercial laundry equipment (washers, dryers & handheld irons) distributed by COMPANY.
Product range and brands: The product range consist of Top loader washing machines, Front loader washing machines, Tumble driers, Handheld Irons.
DETAILS OF FUNCTION: An appliance repair technician is required to troubleshoot and carry repairs on washers, driers typically found in home environment or a launderette. Applicants need to be familiar with the dismantling, reassembling processes and fault diagnosis to provide an accurate report and repair estimate. The technician must be able to identify and replace any defective components found in above mentioned appliances. Technicians are also required to keep accurate records of their time spent on each task, provide detailed job sheets and manage their spares inventory accurately. Good communication skills, good customer service skills and a clean driver’s license record is essential.
REPORTING:
Reports to the Customer Service Supervisor and Branch Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 4 years working experience in a similar environment or product range.
Must have a Matric Certificate.
Must demonstrated the ability to be a keen learner with a “make it happen attitude”.
Must be fast learner and must be able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Have valid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE on COMMERCIAL APPLIANCES will be an added advantage.
HOURS OF WORK AND SALARY PACKAGE:
Working hours 7h30 to 16h30 Monday to Friday. (45 hrs. a week) It might be necessary to work overtime from time to time.

Annual performance bonus – similar to a 13th Cheque but performance based.
