To ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of stock within the distribution centre, including the movement, storage, and preparation of goods for picking using a Narrow Aisle Fork Trucks and other material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the various materials handling machines to transport merchandise, cartons, and pallets to and from designated storage locations.
Perform put-away, replenishment, and picking tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure proper handling of merchandise, cartons, and pallets to prevent damage.
Load and unload goods from vehicles
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits as required.
Accurately transact inventory movements using warehouse management systems (WMS).
Report any discrepancies, damages, or stock irregularities to the line manager promptly.
Palletize, package, and stage stock in a neat and organized manner.
Ensure all Bulk Store outbound goods are correct by SKU and quantity.
Perform daily pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on the fork truck and other equipment.
Adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) principles.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Assist with other distribution-related tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Fork Truck License (Narrow Aisle / Reach Truck / Counterbalance Fork truck / Power Pallet).
Proven driver experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
