Responsibilities:
Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements.
Performing repairs where possible whether it may be of electrical or any other nature.
Implementing preventative maintenance when necessary.
Working on large projects that may involve the complete installation of an entire new system and ensuring that work is done in accordance with set standards.
Completing stripping of existing HVAC systems and installation of new units both indoor and outdoor.
Installation and maintenance of supporting systems such as ducting and extraction systems.
Listing equipment and consumables needed for quotations.
Correct assessment and action on preventative maintenance will prevent future inconvenience and discomfort to clients, thus building good relationships and strengthening our reputation as leaders in our industry.
Paying proper attention to supporting systems for HVAC systems, including ducting, extraction, fresh air, and where relevant, chiller and BMS systems.
