Blackwell Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. is seeking a Comfort Consultant to join our sales department. As a Comfort Consultant, you will represent the company in a professional manner while focusing on determining the needs and solutions for each customer. This position comes with a solid base pay. This is a year-round position, and is compensative through every season.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an HVAC Comfort Consultant and be highly self-motivated with a flexible schedule as work hours will vary based upon scheduling needs and season. The job entails going into crawl spaces, attics, ladder use, and being able to withstand temperature variations. Essentially, the job may entail coming in contact with dirt, debris, and water resulting from the weather.
Required experience:
- Experience in Sales
- HVAC: 2 years
Required Qualifications :
- 2+ years consultative HVAC sales experience required
- Perform timely follow up with potential clients
- Maintains high level of customer satisfaction
- Works as a dedicated team member to ensure fast, flexible and expert service to our customers
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Professional and Positive attitude
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Familiar with Manual J, D and N
- Perform load calculations with software quickly and professionally
- Stay current on HVAC equipment, technology, efficiency standards, and industry practices.
- Strong computer skills (FieldEdge Program) *not required, will train
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Goal orientated with a strong desire to succeed
- Solid organizational and sales pipeline management skills Valid driver’s license
- Explain HVAC system options, repairs, replacements, efficiency ratings, and available solutions.
- Explain pricing, warranties, financing options, and installation processes.
- Must pass background check, drug test and have a clean driving record
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- HVAC industry experience preferred.
- Previous residential HVAC sales or comfort-advisor experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be comfortable working in residential homes and discussing HVAC solutions with homeowners.
