Purpose / Description of role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven HR Manager to join our dynamic team. This leadership position is integral to fostering a high-performance culture, optimizing workforce strategies, and ensuring compliance with South African labor laws and global HR best practices. The successful candidate will play a critical role in aligning our people strategy with our organizational goals, driving employee engagement, and enabling business success in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

·  HR Strategy Development: Design and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s business goals, focusing on talent acquisition, development, retention, and succession planning.

·  Leadership Management: Lead HR department, ensuring consistent delivery of HR services across all levels of the organization.

·  Workforce Planning: Oversee workforce planning, job design, and resource allocation to support the company’s growth and operational demands.

·  Employee Relations: Manage employee relations processes, ensuring compliance with South African labor legislation (e.g., BCEA, LRA, EEA). Resolve disputes and foster a positive work environment.

·  Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems that enhance employee engagement, productivity, and accountability.

·  Training & Development: Drive learning and development programs, ensuring that employees and leaders have the skills required to succeed in a competitive logistics landscape.

·  Change Management: Lead HR-driven organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions.

·  HR Policy & Compliance: Ensure the organization’s HR policies and practices adhere to South African labor laws, health and safety regulations, and global standards.

·  Diversity & Inclusion: Promote an inclusive workplace culture and lead initiatives that drive diversity and equity.

Position Requirements

·      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or industrial Psychology

·      8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR management role.

·      Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry is highly advantageous.

·      Strong knowledge of South African labor laws and HR best practices.

·      Proven ability to design and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals.

·      Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·      Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and data analytics.

Experience in managing large-scale HR projects and change initiatives.
