Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in the City of Cape Town. The Human Resources Manager will oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and reporting.

To ensure that recruitment needs are met on an ongoing basis and that required processes are followed

Issue contracts and verify that the new recruits provided all the relevant documentation.

Constantly review the headcount of each department and ensure that at no time any department is over or under staff.

Maintenance of the personnel files (hard copy and electronic).

Conduct a yearly salary benchmark review.

Ensure that all new staff probation meetings are done by their respective HOD.

Co-ordinate and administrate the performance appraisal system and ensure that performance reviews are done twice a year

Conduct on boarding and induction to all new staff.

Implement and monitor the effectiveness of the employee relations

Oversee the implementation of the grievance and disciplinary procedures and to ensure that the procedures are carried out fairly and objectively.

Conduct a yearly staff survey

Oversee the process and handle payroll related queries where appropriate (which includes SARS queries, leave and salary administration queries etc.)

Monthly HR reporting

Qualifications

+3 years HR management experience withing the hospitality industry

Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office suite

Experience in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations

Knowledge of HR best practices, Performance Management, and Compliance

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
