Overview
Our client is a fast-scaling, multi-division facilities management organisation operating nationwide, delivering essential maintenance, cleaning, and support services. We are now seeking a hands-on HR Administrator to elevate people operations, strengthen compliance and payroll accuracy, and help shape a modern, tech-driven HR function.
Role Purpose
The HR Administrator will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless, compliant, and efficient HR service across the business.
This role is central to:
Accurate and timely payroll processing
Robust HR administration and compliance
Strong employee relations support
Driving HR digital transformation and process improvement

Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HR Operations
Lead end-to-end monthly payroll for 140 employees in partnership with Finance
Manage starters, leavers, pensions, overtime, deductions, and adjustments
Maintain high-quality HR administration standards alongside the HR team
Use BrightHR to manage leave, sickness, lateness, overtime, and payroll inputs across the business
Employee Relations & Compliance
Support disciplinary, grievance, and investigation processes
Advise managers on HR policy and UK employment legislation
Ensure compliance with contracts, GDPR, and right-to-work requirements
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate recruitment campaigns and selection processes
Deliver smooth onboarding, induction, and probation tracking
Partner with managers to build strong talent pipelines
Performance & Engagement
Support appraisal cycles, training plans, and development tracking
Monitor training compliance and workforce capability
Drive engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives aligned to company values
HR Technology & Process Improvement
Champion digital HR tools and system optimization
Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy
Support integration between HR systems and wider operational platforms
Reporting & Strategic Support
Produce HR reports and insights for Directors and senior leadership
Support HR projects aligned with business growth and scaling objectives
Person Specification
Essential
Strong HR generalist experience (HR Advisor or similar level)
3 – 4 years experience
Proven payroll processing experience (end-to-end responsibility)
Knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance
Experience managing or supporting a direct report
Background in facilities management, construction, or service industries
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
Desirable
Experience implementing HR systems, automation, or process improvements
Familiarity with HR dashboards, reporting tools, or integrated HR platforms
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday
UK: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (BST)
South Africa: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (SAST)
