Full Job Description

HRBP – 6 months fixed-term contract

In this role, you’ll work alongside our District and Store Managers to deliver practical, hands-on HR support across the store network. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is ideal for an early-to-mid-career HR professional who’s ready to make a direct impact on the employee experience.

Here, you’ll achieve results by:

HR Delivery and Support

o Provide frontline HR support to stores across your assigned region.

o Support recruitment, onboarding, and probation processes.

o Guide store leaders through performance, conduct, and absence management.

Employee Relations and Compliance

o Advise on disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution.

o Ensure practices are aligned with company policy and labour legislation.

o Help prepare documentation for hearings and CCMA matters as needed.

Operational Execution

o Support rollout of HR initiatives across the network.

o Prepare and process monthly payroll data, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

o Maintain accurate people data and assist with reporting.

o Identify issues proactively and escalate appropriately to the HR Manager.

Experience and Qualifications

o Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

o 3+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role

o Knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, etc.).

o Experience in hospitality, retail, or quick-service food environments preferred.

o Strong Excel skills and experience preparing payroll data.

o Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust.

o Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
