Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, budgeting, inventory control, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and manage housekeeping staff
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure consistent cleanliness across all areas.
Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Manage staff and allocate daily tasks effectively.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities; ensure timely procurement.
Handle guest complaints and requests related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training or coaching as needed.
Collaborate with the maintenance and front office departments to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Prepare and manage departmental budget; monitor expenses and labor costs.
Uphold high standards of customer service and hospitality.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a housekeeping supervisor or manager, preferably in a hotel, resort, or large facility.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and health & safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus.
