Hospitality Hire is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious 5-star lodge located in the heart of the Kruger National Park.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced
Housekeeping Manager
to lead the housekeeping and laundry teams in delivering exceptional standards across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department
Train, lead, and motivate the housekeeping and laundry teams
Implement and maintain housekeeping systems and SOPs
Ensure impeccable cleanliness across rooms and public areas
Manage stock levels of cleaning materials, linen, and amenities
Oversee department budgets and control operational costs
Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
Address guest feedback and service recovery in a professional manner
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Conduct routine inspections to maintain quality and standards
Report maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution
Enforce security procedures related to guest privacy and safety
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Diploma in Hospitality, Accommodation Services, or Hotel Management (advantageous)
Skills:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a housekeeping management role in a 4/5-star lodge or hotel
Strong knowledge of housekeeping systems and best practices
Experience in team leadership and staff training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with PMS or housekeeping systems (advantageous)
A third language is beneficial
