Overview:
We are looking for a trustworthy and reliable Night Receptionist to join our hospitality team at a well-established hotel in Sea Point. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, confident with computers, and experienced in hotel management software. You will be the primary point of contact for late-night guests and responsible for ensuring smooth overnight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in late-arriving guests in a professional and friendly manner
Handle night-time front desk operations, including check-outs and guest inquiries
Manage bookings, payments, and reports using hotel management software
Perform night audits and prepare handover notes for the day shift
Respond to guest needs, emergencies, and maintenance issues as they arise
Monitor safety and security throughout the night
Keep the reception area clean and organized
Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments as needed
Requirements:
Good computer skills and experience with hotel booking systems (e.g., Cloudbeds, NightsBridge, or similar)
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Trustworthy, dependable, and able to work independently
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Prior experience in hospitality or night shifts preferred
Must provide contactable references
Working Hours:
Night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, on a rostered basis
