Horticulturalist Jobs in Atlantis, Western Cape 7349 at Biotic Pharm (Pty) Ltd
Make orders for production inputs and receive all orders;
Training new staff, managing schedules, directing staff on tasks, such as the propagation, cultivation and harvesting of plants;
Oversee daily data collection, recording and reporting;
Oversee full product quality and post-harvet monitoring and compliance;
Capture post-harvest and report all data to management and regulatory authorities;
Regular collection of quality control samples for testing of EC, pH, drainage percentage to present to the operations and technical team;
Ensure proper operation of the irrigation systems and schedule irrigation with the technical and operations team.
Monitor the effectiveness of phenotypes development;
Ensure adequate scouting by your appointed teams;
Ensure sprayers are calibrated and recommend the application doses
Provide all records of spray applications to the Production Manager;
Communicate all indications of pest and disease and recommend spray solutions;
Planning of the propagation and cultivation schedules;
Fertigation and nutrients scheduling;
Prepare block designs for experimental purposes;
Contribute to the establishment and/or changes of the growing systems;
Provide innovative crop production systems based on GACP etc.
Understanding of greenhouse and indoor HVAC systems;
Adhere to Greenhouse Management Practices;
Understanding of Efficient Resources Planning;
Adhere to the code of conduct and handle the facility in a professional manner.
Planning and execution of all harvest schedules.
