HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER – CAPS | CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Location: South Africa Start Date: Ideally October 2026 or January 2027
We are seeking a passionate and experienced High School English Teacher to join a well-established Christian school.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality English lessons within the CAPS curriculum, while contributing positively to the academic and Christian ethos of the school.
✨ Requirements:
- Relevant teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE or equivalent)
- SACE registration is essential
- Experience teaching High School English – Gr 12 teaching experience would be ideal
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of the CAPS curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills
- A passion for English and for developing learners’ academic potential
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team
- Commitment to the values and ethos of a Christian school
- Previous experience with Grade 12 would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across the relevant High School grades
- Assess, monitor and report on learner progress
- Prepare learners for CAPS assessments and examinations
- Create a positive, structured and stimulating classroom environment
- Participate in school activities and contribute to the broader school community
- Support the school’s Christian values and educational philosophy
Start Date:
October 2026 would be ideal, although candidates available from January 2027 will also be considered.
