Mark Guho Construction Company is a 4th generation commercial general contractor in the Boise area, with over 100 years of company history. MGC is looking for a Excavation Laborer/Apprentice Operator to perform excavation work from trenching, grading, utility installations. CDL a plus. The duties of this position may extend into over trades as well. Below is a list of possible responsibilities this position may entail:
Foreman
· Minimum of 1 year experience around Heavy Equipment, grade lasers and trench safety
· Excellent communication, leadership skills, and accountability
· Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
· Commercial, public works, residential, heavy civil experience
Heavy Equipment Operator
Responsible for reading survey, familiar around heavy equipment, piping installation and grading. Clean driving record. Heavy equipment experience would be preferred to be able to run the following equipment for loading and unloading front end loaders, Skidsteers, excavators, Dozers up to a D6, Rollers, Stackers, Screen Plants and other pieces of equipment. As a heavy equipment laborer you will answer to your immediate foreman, and be responsible for reporting any maintenance issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Work well with co-workers
· Willing to take direction from your immediate foreman on any given project
· Perform daily safety and maintenance check (Lube Check and Greasing Equipment)
· Keep equipment clean
· Advise Foreman of any equipment issues upon discovery
· Complete each task in a timely manner
Preferred Experience:
- Good driving record
- CDL
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Mechanically inclined
- Knowledge of general construction
- Organized
This position will be 5 days a week, with pay negotiated based on experience.
