Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
Job Purpose:
To ensure the company complies with all health, safety, and quality management standards and regulations. The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for compiling, maintaining, and enforcing safety systems and procedures across all company operations and assisting all branches in implementing a safe working environment.

Key Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities:
1. Safety File and Documentation Management
Compile and maintain safety files for all contracts as required.
Supply branches with updated baseline safety files for use as templates.
Ensure all documentation complies with current legislation and client requirements.
2. Health & Safety Oversight
Attend to all health and safety-related matters across the company.
Conduct and update risk assessments as needed.
Investigate and review accidents and incidents; implement prevention strategies.
Inspect equipment and work environments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
3. Branch & Staff Support
Assist branches with health and safety issues, QMS implementation, and policy queries.
Conduct safety meetings with supervisors and staff to promote awareness and compliance.
Attend external meetings relating to health, safety, and QMS requirements.
4. Quality Management & Assurance
Ensure adherence to all Quality Management and Assurance procedures and requirements.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and quality standards within the company.
5. Reporting and Accountability
Report directly to the Director.
Ensure timely submission of reports, risk assessments, and documentation.
6. Site Conduct and Compliance
Comply with the company’s dress code and use of Personal Protective Equipment as required by law and company policy.
Maintain a professional and safety-conscious presence at all work sites.
7. General Responsibilities
Perform any additional duties reasonably required and aligned with the role, provided such tasks are lawful, safe, and within your physical capacity.
Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s safety, health, and quality systems, including tasks not explicitly listed above but which support operational success.
