Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
Location: Pretoria, South Africa
Salary: Depending on experience
Job Duties:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage and monitor contractors and their activities on site.
- Oversee daily toll plaza operations and site safety.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain health and safety records and reports.
- Conduct safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
- Identify hazards and assist with risk assessments.
- Must be able to travel a lot.
Requirements:
- SACPCMP registration is required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Health & Safety, contractor management, or a similar operational environment.
- Previous experience within toll plaza management, infrastructure, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Ability to supervise, coordinate, and manage contractors effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites if required.
