Looking for a warm, passionate teacher to grow with our Montessori preschool community. Candidate to start September 2026.
A small, private, not-for-profit Montessori preschool is seeking a full-time, nurturing, warm, and loving Teacher for our Pre-Primary class, serving children ages 3 to 6 years old. This classroom also includes students enrolled in the DOE Pre-K for All program.
Candidates must possess a New York State Early Childhood certification or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and be on a study plan working toward Early Childhood certification. Montessori certification for ages 3–6 is preferred.
We are also open to sponsoring the right candidate to pursue their Montessori certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Foster effective communication with parents regarding student progress and development.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs.
- Collaborate with staff to enhance curriculum development and classroom strategies.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the preschool setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 – $68,000.00 per year
