Job Summary
Absa is seeking a strategic andresults-drivenHead of Product – Payment Acceptance to lead product management, development, andinnovationwithin this critical portfolio. This role is pivotal in shaping our market presence and driving commercial success through acustomer-centric approachto payment solutions.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management – Take full ownership of the product’s P&L and performance across its lifecycle, aligning with business growth objectives. Work closely with key stakeholders to optimise product strategy and execution.
Product Management – Develop insight-led andinnovativeproduct propositions that meet evolving customer needs and industry trends. Maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies while ensuring compliance and risk management excellence.
Product Infrastructure – Oversee the end-to-end product ecosystem, ensuring operational efficiency and a seamless customer experience. Align internal stakeholders to support strategic objectives andcontinuous improvement.
People & Culture – Foster a high-performance,collaborative environmentthat empowers teams to driveinnovationand product excellence. Lead and develop the product management function to deliver sustainable growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Provenleadershipexperience in product management within payments, financial services, or fintech
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in product lifecycle management and go-to-market strategies
Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, industry shifts, and risk management
A visionary leader with exceptional stakeholder engagement and strategic execution capabilities
