Head of Procurement Jobs in Johannesburg, South Africa at Quest Staffing Solutions
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager and a Procurement Manager, 6 Months Contract – Johannesburg.
MUST Have Oracle experience!!!

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain procurement strategies for various categories of goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, spare parts, etc.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and vendors that meet the company’s quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best prices, terms, and conditions for the company.
Review and evaluate existing contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors and renew or terminate them as needed.
Monitor and manage the performance of suppliers and vendors and ensure compliance with the contract specifications and quality standards.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
Manage the procurement team and provide guidance, training, and feedback to them.
Oversee the procurement processes and systems, such as purchase orders, invoices, payments, inventory, etc.
Ensure adherence to the company’s policies and procedures, as well as the relevant laws and regulations, regarding procurement.
Prepare and present reports and updates on the procurement activities and performance to the senior management and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
Senior Procurement Manager:
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Procurement Management role
Proven track record of developing and implementing effective procurement strategies and achieving cost savings.
MUST Have Oracle experience
Experience running transformation processes and working independently
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software and tools
Knowledge of the marine manufacturing industry and its suppliers and vendors
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Procurement Manager:
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related field
MUST have Oracle experience (Fusion/ On-premise)
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Procurement Management role
Sourcing experience and ability to quickly get up to speed with activities.
