About the Company
A leading organisation within the Construction and Renewable Energy sector is seeking an experienced Head of Operational Finance to lead its finance function across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
About the Role
The Head of Operational Finance will be responsible for managing the full financial accounting function across all group entities, leading budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full financial accounting function across all group entities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning
- Drive monthly project financial reviews with senior leadership
- Ensure IFRS compliance and regulatory adherence
- Oversee debtors, creditors, accounting functions, and asset management
- Perform variance analysis and provide strategic financial insights
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
- Support business growth through financial reporting, controls, and process improvements
Qualifications
- CA(SA) qualification (essential)
- Minimum 6 years’ post-articles experience
- At least 4 years’ experience managing and leading finance teams
- Construction industry experience, ideally within Industrial and Renewable Energy projects
Required Skills
- Strong cash flow modelling and financial forecasting experience
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15
- Strong understanding of South African tax legislation
- Excellent English communication skills
Preferred Skills
- International experience (Mozambique, Namibia, Mauritius, Kenya, UAE)
- Portuguese proficiency
- BuildSmart experience
Pay range and compensation package
R 1400000 – R 1500000 Annually Cost To Company (+benefits, Negotiable)
