Role Overview

A well-established global organization focused on international community development is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its multinational finance function. Operating across multiple international hubs, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive financial strategy and operational excellence on a global scale.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Governance, you will oversee key finance functions, including treasury, statutory reporting, budgeting, financial controls, and operational finance across global locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day global operational finance functions, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and payment approvals.
  • Produce and maintain a comprehensive suite of internal financial reports and forecasts to support executive decision-making.
  • Lead the global statutory and tax reporting processes, ensuring full compliance and managing the group audit lifecycle.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and implement robust financial controls to mitigate risk.
  • Direct liquidity management and treasury activities, including currency trading and cash management across international hubs.
  • Act as the business owner and project lead for the global NetSuite ERP implementation and development.
  • Establish clear performance objectives and skills matrices for international finance teams to support professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CA(SA) with 10+ years of post-article experience
  • Proven experience leading and developing finance teams across multiple international locations within a global organization.
  • Operational exposure across treasury, statutory reporting, financial control, and operational finance.
  • Direct experience managing currency trading and cash management within a global environment.
  • Demonstrable experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Track record of successfully leading projects and delivering large-scale organizational change.
  • Experience within the charitable, non-profit, or international development sectors.
