Huntswood specialises in providing business process outsourcing services to clients worldwide, as part of a larger global group. We are currently seeking an experienced (qualified CA or equivalence) and highly motivated Head of Finance to join our global finance team. This role will primarily focus on overseeing and managing the finance function in South Africa between Durban and Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
Overall:
Provide strategic input into the day-to-day and long-term growth plan of the business.
Deliver on strategic projects.
Represent the organisation on governance and statutory committees.
Manage and ensure compliance with governance and tax requirements, including organisation secretarial duties.
Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting,financial analysis, and reporting.
Maintain strong internal controls throughcollaborationwith the Risk team.
Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team to achieve organizational goals.
Collaborate with executiveleadershipon key financial decisions and contribute to overall business strategy.
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
FinancialLeadership:
Providing strategic financialleadershipand direction to the finance team.
Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Collaborating withsenior managementto develop and execute the organisation’s financial strategy.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Preparing and presenting financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Taking full ownership of annual financial audits (internal & external).
Working closely with FP&A team to complete the annual budget cycle.
Identifying and executing automation opportunities.
Providing insights and recommendations to support organisation’s decision-making.
Ensuring full statutory compliance relating to direct & indirect organisation taxes.
Being responsible for the integrity of all financial records.
Drivecontinuous improvementin accounting practices and reporting mechanisms.
Oversee the monthly payroll processes.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Overseeing the accounts’ payable/receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices/payments & invoicing/collections.
Treasury & Compliance:
Monitoring and managing cash flow and working capital, to optimise overall liquidity and support organisation operations.
Ensure compliance of the organisation’s procurement activities in line with processes.
Ensure compliance with the B-BBEE strategy for the organisation annually.
Qualifications:
Professionally Qualified – CA(SA)
5-6 years of post-article experience, including managing a team.
Proven work experience as a Head of Finance or similar role.
OR
Academic degree obtained (Accounting/Finance)
8-10 years of proven experience in Head of Finance or similar role, including managing a team.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience with in the BPO or services sector or similar (preferred).
Experience engaging withsenior management.
Strong financial modelling andanalytical skills& experience.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, management reporting,cash flow management, budgeting & risk management.
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture ofcollaboration,innovation, and excellence.
Technical (systems) knowledge required:
Advanced Excel skills.
