As part of this expansion and focus on data-driven strategies, they are seeking a seasoned Head of Data Engineering to lead the data initiatives and the data engineering team.
POSITION INFO :
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide vision and strategy for all data projects.
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring project deliverables are met on time.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions into business operations.
Data Infrastructure & Analytics
Drive the organization’s migration to the cloud.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our data warehouse, ensuring optimal performance.
Ensure the robustness and reliability of ETL processes.
Develop and optimize real-time data analytics solutions.
Manage all reporting deliverables.
Expertise in Cloud Architecture
Manage our Azure data ecosystem, ensuring best practices are followed.
Utilize Azure Synapse for advanced analytics and data exploration.
Drive the roll out of self-service data provision across the organization.
Data Governance & Compliance
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Promote a culture where data quality is paramount.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and prioritize data needs.
Communicate complex data concepts in a clear manner to non-technical stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience managing a data team (data engineers, data analysts, and BI).
Solid experience with BI reporting.
Must have at least 5 – 7 years data engineering experience with experience in Database Technologies :
Solid experience in RDBMS technologies, including but not limited to, MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres.
Solid experience in No
SQL technologies, including but not limited to, Mongo
DB, Cosmos, Redis.
Solid grasp of search platforms such as Elasticsearch or ELK.
Prior experience working with Hands-on SQL, Python, and R.
Specialized knowledge in designing Cloud systems, especially those focused on handling data services :
Strong experience in data analytics, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
Proficiency with Azure Synapse and its integration within the data landscape.
A solid understanding of how to approach a cloud-centric data strategy.
Beneficial :
Prior experience within a call centre environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with other cloud platforms and big data tools is a plus.
Certifications in Azure or related technologies a plus.
Working hours :
Monday to Friday 8.00 to 17.00 or as per department requirements.
