Purpose of the Role
An established and growing business in the HVAC and building services sector is looking to appoint a Head of Business Development to drive its next phase of growth.
This is a newly created, high-impact role focused on transforming the business from a tender-driven model to a proactive, opportunity-led commercial function, with a strong emphasis on revenue growth, sales pipeline development, and recurring income streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a group-wide sales strategy aligned to growth targets
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, increasing direct opportunities
- Drive new business development across developers, property groups, and asset owners
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including engineers, contractors, and Real Estate Investment Trusts
- Lead strategic client engagements and pitches
- Identify and drive cross-selling opportunities across divisions
- Grow recurring revenue streams (Service Level Agreements and maintenance contracts)
- Oversee and align marketing strategy to support sales and brand positioning
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience in HVAC, building services, or construction
- Strong track record in business development and revenue generation
- Demonstrated success in building and converting sales pipelines
Advantageous Experience
- Experience with service contracts / recurring revenue models
- Existing network within developers, property groups, and consulting engineers
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification (will be an advantage)
