Our focus is on wholesome ingredients, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a skilled Chef/Manager to lead our kitchen and daily operations.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Chef/Manager who can oversee both culinary operations and business management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthy food, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen & Culinary Duties:
– Plan, prepare, and cook high-quality, healthy meals, snacks, and beverages.
– Develop seasonal menus with a focus on fresh, nutritious ingredients.
– Maintain food safety standards and hygiene practices.
– Manage kitchen inventory, stock control, and supplier orders.
– Train and supervise kitchen staff.
Management & Operations:
– Oversee daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth service.
– Manage staff schedules, performance, and training.
– Handle customer service and maintain a welcoming environment.
– Monitor sales, costs, and profitability.
– Implement and maintain efficient workflows.
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a chef (preferably in a café, health food, or similar setting).
– Strong management skills with experience leading a team.
– Knowledge of healthy cooking techniques and dietary trends.
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication and customer service skills.
– Basic financial understanding (stock control, budgeting, etc.).
– Food safety certification (advantageous).
