Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hardscape Foreman to lead our hardscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of hardscape architecture and maintenance. This full-time position offers an opportunity to oversee various projects, supervise crew members, and ensure high-quality results in the design, installation and upkeep of the hardscaping department. The candidate must be proficient in multiple fields; not excluding landscaping, but including hardscaping projects from beginning to finish. In addition, knowledge of landscaping and irrigation systems are beneficial.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily hardscaping maintenance activities, creative collaboration, design and building of varying hardscape projects.
- Operate equipment including, but not limited to, driving a truck and trailer, skid steer loader, backpack blower, hedge trimmer, chain saw, etc.
- Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards
- Lead and motivate a team of hardscape laborers and provide guidance and training as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of work sites to ensure safety protocols are followed and work is performed efficiently and be able to make recommendations to team members.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure proper use of tools and machinery. Responsible for ensuring end of day clean up, maintenance, and inspection of all assigned vehicles and equipment is complete.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their hardscaping and property needs and provide expert recommendations
- Be on call / work during every salt/snow storm over the winter.
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License and Medical Card
- Proven experience in hardscape maintenance, hardscaping, construction and general landscape maintenance
- Prior supervising or leadership experience in a hardscaping or construction environment
- Strong knowledge of product
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Good communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and suppliers
- Ability to read blueprints for hardscaping plans is a plus
- Ability to run a hardscaping job from start to completion; including all aspects of the project

Pay: $23.00 – $29.00 per hour
