Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions to meet each client’s unique preferences and needs.
- Use salon software to schedule appointments, manage client records, and streamline daily operations efficiently.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and adhering to health regulations.
- Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and current styling trends to enhance client satisfaction.
- Assist with retail sales by upselling hair care products, retail items, and salon services to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired look, offer professional suggestions, and ensure a positive experience from start to finish.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist with a strong portfolio of diverse styling techniques.
- Demonstrated proficiency with salon software platforms like Boulevard or similar management tools.
- Knowledge of hair coloring techniques, including balayage, highlights, and creative color applications.
- Skilled in hair extensions application and maintenance for various types of extensions.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols related to cosmetology tools such as combs, brushes, and scissors.
- Excellent communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration.
- Ability to upsell retail products effectively while maintaining a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience mentoring or training new staff members is a plus for those interested in future leadership roles within the salon environment.
