Purpose of the Job

Falcon is looking for a Parts Manager to lead the Group Parts Division in driving financial performance, optimising stock and operational processes, and enhancing customer satisfaction through strategic leadership, supplier partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is key to ensuring a high-performing parts and warehouse environment aligned with business goals and compliance standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Stock Management

Develop and implement inventory management strategies, policies, and procedures.

Monitor inventory levels, usage patterns, and conduct audits to ensure stock accuracy and availability.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rates and stock turnover.

Oversee seasonal stock planning and adjust based on demand and sales forecasts.

Effective Administration and Compliance

Utilise parts management software to track usage and generate detailed reports.

Maintain accurate documentation for all parts transactions.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Customer & Supplier Relationship Management

Oversee the procurement process, including supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.

Build and maintain strong relationships with both suppliers and customers.

Address complaints and implement strategies to enhance service quality and responsiveness.

Financial Management

Manage the parts division budget, monitor expenses, and improve cost efficiency.

Analyse profit margins and initiate measures to improve profitability.

Develop pricing strategies that balance cost and competitiveness.

Mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with financial policies.

Employee & Team Leadership

Lead and mentor the parts and warehouse team.

Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Ensure compliance with legislative and industry standards.

National Senior Certificate (Post-matric qualification in a relevant field preferred)

Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience in parts management or a related field

Previous experience in inventory and procurement management

Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a warehouse or parts department (preferably in Agri-mechanisation or Manufacturing)

Knowledge and Skills

Agricultural industry knowledge

Parts management systems and inventory control

Financial management and budgeting

Health and safety compliance

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills

Strong computer literacy and data analysis capabilities

Customer service orientation and attention to detail
