Are you a detail-oriented, technically strong Chartered Accountant with a passion for IFRS reporting, consolidations, and financial controls? We’re looking for a dynamic Group Reporting Accountant to take ownership of critical reporting and consolidation functions while driving improvements and innovation in our financial processes.
What You’ll Do
Own and manage the full accounting function for entities in your portfolio
Prepare and review journals and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Drive the group consolidation process and review IFRS accounts, with a focus on complex and judgmental areas
Play a key role in IFRS 17 implementation, technical accounting, and advisory
Support the preparation of Group Annual Financial Statements in line with IFRS and JSE requirements
Work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic reporting initiatives
Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes for your portfolio
Identify variances, provide insights, and guide business units to drive financial performance
Lead or support system and process enhancements (e.g., Cognos Controller, other IFRS systems)
What We’re Looking For
CA(SA) or equivalent with 2–3 years post-articles experience
Strong exposure to IFRS reporting and advisory (IFRS 17 exposure is a plus)
Experience with group consolidations and reporting highly advantageous
Prior work with Cognos Controller or similar consolidation tools is a bonus
