Job Responsibilities
Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements
Creating images and layouts using design software as per the creative brief
Testing graphics across various media
Studying design briefs and determining requirements
Scheduling projects and defining budget constraints
Preparing rough drafts and presenting ideas
Developing illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand
Using appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
Working with copywriters and creative directors to produce final designs
Amending designs after feedback
Ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
Manipulating and editing film pieces seamlessly for the audience
Understanding production team’s needs and specifications from briefs
Reviewing shooting scripts and raw materials to create shot decision lists based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
Trimming footage segments and assembling the sequence of the film
Adding music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
Ensuring logical sequencing and smooth flow
Consulting with art directors throughout production to post-production processes
Discovering and implementing new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency
Requirements And Skills
Minimum of 2 years of proven graphic designing and video editing experience
Any Bachelor’s degree
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
A keen eye for aesthetics and details
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field is a plus
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Final Cut)
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing
Creative mind and storytelling skills
