The Role
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who lives at the intersection of brand thinking and beautiful execution.
This isn’t a production house role where you pump out artwork all day. At Splssh, design is central to everything. How we pitch ideas, how we present concepts, how we bring a client’s brand to life on a product. You’ll be working across apparel, packaging, gifting, and promotional merchandise for some of South Africa’s most recognisable brands.
If you’re a designer who gets bored doing the same thing twice and wants to see your work end up in people’s hands – this is the role.
What You’ll Do
- Develop design concepts and mockups for branded merchandise and apparel
- Create product presentations and pitch decks that sell ideas visually
- Adapt client brand identities across a wide range of product applications
- Design custom packaging, labels, tags, and branded inserts
- Prepare artwork files for production: print-ready, correctly set up, zero errors
- Collaborate with the project team from brief to final delivery
- Contribute ideas in client briefings: you’re a creative partner, not just an executor
What We’re Looking For
Non-negotiable:
- 2–4 years of graphic design experience
- Exceptional command of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong understanding of print production and file preparation
- An eye for layout, typography, and brand consistency
- Portfolio that shows range not just digital, but applied and product design
- Detail-obsessed you notice when something is 2mm off
A big advantage:
- Experience designing for merchandise, apparel, or packaging
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign for presentations and lookbooks
- Ability to create realistic product mockups
- Understanding of branding beyond just logo application
Who You Are
You’re a few years into your design career and you’re hungry for more creative challenge. You’ve probably been at an agency or in-house somewhere and you’re ready for a role where the work is more varied, more hands-on, and more visible.
You think in brands. When a client brief lands, you’re already visualising how it could look before the meeting is over.
You’re fast without being sloppy. You understand that deadlines are real and quality is non-negotiable and you find a way to deliver both.
You take pride in the finish. The difference between good and great is in the details, and you’re the person who cares about those details when no one else is watching.

- R15,000 – R25,000/month depending on experience
