Grain Quality, Hygiene, and Pest Control Specialist Jobs in Bethal, Mpumalanga at Afgri
To manage grain quality, ensuring sufficient good-quality maize is available for the maize mills to manufacture quality products efficiently. Additionally, ensure all mills adhere to strict hygiene and pest control standards.
Minimum requirements
Grade 12
Maize Grading Certificate
PCO certificate
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maize grading, hygiene, and pest control management in a food manufacturing environment
Key Performance Areas
Maize Stock Levels and Quality:
Manage stock levels and ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
Compile weekly stock and quality reports.
Engage with silos to ensure maize quality requirements are met.
Handle disputes and manage non-conformances.
Pest Control:
Implement and update the Integrated Pest Management Program (IPMP).
Plan and follow up on treatment schedules.
Conduct inspections and audits, and compile reports.
Hygiene:
Ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
Conduct monthly hygiene inspections and follow up on actions.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on new pest control technologies.
Attend relevant meetings and audits.
Training:
Develop and conduct training on grading, pest control, and hygiene.
