Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Grade R Practitioner tojoin our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing a high-quality educational program for Grade R learners, promoting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning and Implementation
:
Plan and implement a comprehensive and integrated educational program, aligned with the National Curriculum Statement and the school’s policies.
Teaching and Learning
:
Create a supportive andinclusivelearning environment, promoting active learning, exploration, and discovery.
Assessment and Evaluation
:
Continuously assess and evaluate learner progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
Classroom Management
:
Establish and maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all learners.
Parental Involvement
:
Communicate regularly with parents, providing feedback on learner progress, and encouraging parental involvement in the educational process.
Teamwork and Collaboration
:
Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing best practices, and contributing to the development of the school’s curriculum.
Professional Development
:
Engage in ongoingprofessional development, stayingup-to-datewith best practices in Early ChildhoodEducation.
Requirements:
Qualifications
: A recognized Diploma or Degree in Early ChildhoodEducation(ECE) or a related field.
Experience
: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching Grade R or a similar age group.
Registration
:
Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
Language
:
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Computer Literacy
:
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
