GOMACO GT3600 Curb Machine Operator Jobs in North Salt Lake, UT at M.C. Green & Sons, Inc.
M.C. Green is looking for an experienced GOMACO GT3600 Curb Machine Operator to join our team. We are looking for someone who knows the machine, understands curb and gutter operations, and can work independently while maintaining quality and safety on the job.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
· Proven hands-on experience operating a GOMACO GT-3600 or comparable slipform curb-and-gutter machine
· Ability to set up, run, adjust, and troubleshoot stringline, including steering and grade sensors
· Experience using GPS/3D machine-control or grade-control systems for line, grade, elevation, and slope
· Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Topcon 3D machine control systems, including system setup, calibration, GPS/GNSS troubleshooting, project/model management, alignments, offsets, and maintaining accurate line and grade during concrete paving operations
· Ability to operate and understand GOMACO controls, including travel speed, steering, grade, automatic/manual modes, and machine guidance
· Experience setting and maintaining proper mold position, line, grade, elevation, and cross slope throughout the pour
· Ability to operate and adjust the trimmerhead, mold, conveyor/auger, vibrators, steering, travel speed, and track positioning
· Experience slipforming curb and gutter, radii, islands, transitions, driveway approaches, sidewalks, and similar concrete profiles
· Ability to recognize concrete consistency and placement issues and make machine adjustments to maintain a quality finished product
· Ability to maneuver the machine safely around obstacles, through tight radii, and when positioning for production or transport
· Ability to read plans, stakes, grades, elevations, and jobsite layout
· Perform daily equipment inspections, cleaning, basic maintenance, and minor troubleshooting
· Strong understanding of jobsite and equipment safety, especially around tracks, trimmerhead, conveyor/auger, and other moving components
· Dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with the concrete crew
· Valid driver’s license required

This is not an entry-level heavy equipment operator position. We are looking for someone with hands-on slipform curb-and-gutter experience who understands GT-3600 setup, stringline, grade control, Topcon GPS/3D machine control, and adjustments during the pour.
