The Golf Operations Manager works closely with all under his supervision to co-ordinate all the activities of his department while working closely with the Director of Golf.
Summary of specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Observation of all areas within his department ensuring that optimal service is being provided.
Opening and closing of cart barn and associated checks
Liaising with the work shop on all routine maintenance checks on all golf carts as well as the scheduling major servicing and repairs
Maintaining the clean and orderly appearance of all outside areas and cart barn throughout the day
Ensuring that all necessary accessories are in stock
Overseeing the driving range set up on a daily basis making sure that it is neat and well maintained. Also to liaise directly with Golf Data with regards the upkeep thereof
To schedule staff to ensure optimum use in various areas:
Ensure that starter’s time sheets are up to date with proceedings for the day.
Ensure that all staff is using correct dialogue and correctly dressed at all times
Assist course marshals with marshalling and make sure that they enforce all club rules and regulations on and off the course
To manage and maintain two way radios system and procedures thereof
To Manage the club store room and club fitting centre as well manage all hire equipment and the up-keep thereof
Liaise with Security on any matters pertaining to outside operations
GOLF OPERATIONS The Operations Manager shall provide the following services as required:
General Administration, Golf Course, reporting to Golf Director, Caddies
DISCIPLINE Enforcement of Club rules, Monitoring of play on the golf course and etiquette
AD HOC Assistance/liaison with special events, Input for Golf Club newsletter, Projects / assignments as decided by Golf Director / Committee
