Position: Golf Manager – KZN North Coast
Location: KwaDukuza
Overall Purpose Of The Job
o Management of staff and structures
o Ensure smooth running of day-to-day golfing activities, including scheduling and starting, as
well as assist the Golf Committee to create and maintain the Golf Fixture list.
o Enforce Code of Conduct for golfers
o Liaise with the Golf & Custodian Committee’s as well as the appointed Greenkeeper
o Monitor and manage outsourced agreements
Budget and Finance Input and Management Pertaining to the Pro Shop and Related
o Membership management, including membership payments
o Follow appropriate procedures
o Golf communication – external/internal
o Manage handicap ratings and ensure handicap standards are maintained as per union rules
o Daily cash taken (Reporting)
o Liaise with members
o Customer relationship function
o Marketing of the course as well as packages to various stakeholders
o Managing of league teams, major club competitions,
o Managing of Marshalling & driving range activities
o Golf days, competitions, and prize-giving’s
o Ensure a High Quality golfing experience, from ‘Bag Drop to the taxi home’.
Required Work Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within a professional organization such as Golfing Country
Club environment
• Minimum of 2 years relevant club operational experience
• Minimum of 2 years relevant budgeting experience in a club environment Knowledge
• Excellent understanding and working knowledge of golf course management
• Excellent understanding and playing knowledge of the rules of golf
• An excellent level of interpersonal skills
• Club master & Golfscape Booking System.
