Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on golf carts, utility vehicles, and small engines using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose electrical issues utilizing schematics and electrical diagnostics tools to identify faults accurately.
- Repair mechanical systems including engines (diesel and small engines), transmissions, brakes, steering components, and suspension systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions through detailed diagnostics, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to electrical wiring, mechanical failures, or power generation systems.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining equipment in top condition.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and repair logs for all vehicles serviced.
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting and repairs involving Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery components when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience working with automotive or small engine repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and equipment repair.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, generators, power generation systems, and mechanical components.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude toward clients and team members.
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting methods, and small engine maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy equipment is a plus.
