We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Delivery and Standards Manager to join our new Center of Business Excellence global team with a remote position based in South Africa. This position will be high visibility, high impact and is perfect for someone looking to help define standards for a rapidly growing global organisation.
The Project Delivery and Standards Manager is responsible for establishing, evolving, and overseeing the project management frameworks and methodologies across the organisation. This role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, ensuring adherence to quality standards, managing internal projects, and supporting change initiatives across the service organisation. This individual will also serve as the system administrator for Wrike and other project management platforms, enabling efficient project tracking and delivery.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Project Methodology & Governance
Define, implement, and continuously improve standardised project management frameworks, tools, and templates.
Ensure consistent adoption of methodologies across departments and regions.
Lead quality assurance initiatives to verify compliance with project delivery standards.
Design and execute programs that collect customer feedback and measure project delivery effectiveness.
Internal Project Delivery
Manage strategic internal projects that support business improvement and operational efficiency.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of initiatives.
Track project milestones, deliverables, and budget performance.
Quality Management
Oversee the implementation of quality-related projects tied to service excellence.
Develop and run customer feedback mechanisms to track and report on quality metrics.
Change & Communications
Partner with change managers and communications teams to support adoption of new ways of working.
Ensure clear communication of project standards and changes to internal stakeholders.
Tool Administration
Administer Wrike and other project management platforms, ensuring alignment to business needs.
Serve as the primary liaison between business users and IT for tool enhancement and issue resolution.
Provide user support, training, and governance around tool usage.
Requirements or Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in project or program management, ideally in a professional services or corporate environment.
Proven experience implementing and managing project frameworks and methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, PRINCE2).
Strong understanding of quality management and continuous improvement processes.
Experience with project management software, especially Wrike; Power Platform experience a plus.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to lead change and drive process adoption across geographically dispersed teams.
Preferred Skills
Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or similar.
Experience in service delivery organisations or Centers of Excellence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Skilled in designing and conducting surveys for service quality measurement
