Job Title: Glazier – Cape Town
Main Job Purpose
To complete all products required glass by inserting glass, clipping beads and sealing the products, as outlined on the production instruction.
Main Objective
Obtain the production instruction from the team leader
Perform daily Inspection and service of glazing tools
Set up the working station
Glaze assemble window frame as required on the production instruction
Seal corners and joint of the window (both inside and outside)with the correct colour silicone
Insert the correct glass panel into window as required by the cutting sheet
Make sure the butterfly gasket is inserted correctly as required by the cutting sheet
Clip beads onto the window as required by the cutting sheet
Glaze windows with the correct glazing beads and correct back wage gasket as required by the cutting sheet
Perform daily detail quality check
Collates all windows for the same order into one order group and move group to the next workstation
Complete scrapping request forms and housekeeping daily
Maintain a safe, clean and organized area at all times
Observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices or conditions.
Work according to standard operating procedure (SOP)
Maintain daily production record such as quantity, dimensions, square meters, cubic meters and material type by means of a standardised production sheet
Report any discrepancy to the team leader
Depending on the workload requirement, the incumbent may be required to work in other subsection or / and different department when it is required
Educational background
Grade 12

Good working knowledge of the assembling process

Proficient in the proper use of precision measuring equipment
Basic understanding of the mechanical/electrical operating system of a cutting machine
Experience
1 year aluminum processing experience
