Job Description
Essence of the job:
Geotechnical Manager for West Africa & Middle East, providing support to underground operations across the AME region with geotechnical expertise.
Qualifications:
BSc in Geology, Rock Mechanics, Mining, or related field
Expert knowledge of seismicity
Minimum Requirements:
Support underground operations across the AME region with geotechnical expertise
Review and recommend improvements for geotechnical practices in the region
Review backfill designs to optimize performance
Assess current QA/QC geotechnical practices and provide guidance for improvements
Optimize ground support specifications to ensure safe operations, efficiency, and cost reduction
Regularly engage with and be present on-site for skills transfer and mentoring of site teams
