Role Purpose:
- To ensure sufficient stock availability as per the production schedule
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent literacy and numeric level
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a production environment, minimum of 3 months
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic numeracy
- High level of honesty and integrity
- Knowledge of production processes
- Shift work and overtime
- Knowledge of health and safety rules
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Ensure all resources are available in line with production requirements.
- Report any mechanical/electrical issues to the control Room/Supervisor that may affect the smooth running of the plant.
- Accurately record any data required for production analysis, e.g. tipping logs.
- Respond to manual production bottlenecks e.g. clearing choked elevators.
- Conduct visual checks e.g. availability of raw material and report any deviation to the control room/supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with applicable work instructions and procedures.
- Adherence to Feed Safety Standards and Procedures.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards and Procedures.
- Perform any reasonable tasks as requested by Control Room / Supervisor.
- Perform daily stock-take duties.
