Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning dishes according to safety and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and ensuring proper disposal of waste in accordance with food safety procedures
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and resetting dining areas efficiently
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to prevent contamination and uphold health standards
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy items, moving supplies, and organizing storage areas safely
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly, including dishwashers, mixers, and other small appliances
- Adhere to restaurant health and safety standards at all times to ensure a secure working environment
Requirements
- Previous food service experience is preferred; familiarity with restaurant operations is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures is essential
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Basic knife skills and experience with food preparation techniques are advantageous
