GL Accountant Roles And Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journals and submit to the shared service (Hub) for processing
- Calculate and prepare accruals, prepayments and other financial information for month end closing
- Balance reconciliations and resolve queries after month end closing
- Monthly VAT Reconciliation and submission to the tax authority
- Preparation and Submission of Provisional tax and income Tax
- Submission of Withholding Taxes for Kenya and Nigeria
- Monthly additions and disposals of Fixed assets according to accounting policy
- Monthly reconciliation of fixed asset to the general ledger
- Assist internal and external auditors with annual and quarterly audits
- Prepare and maintain leased assets Schedule in accordance with IFRS 16 standard
- Prepare the Intercompany invoices to be issued to other related Parties
- Assist with the Preparation of Annual Financial statements
Qualification And Experience
- Bcom Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Fluent in English.
- Agile in using IT tools and Microsoft applications, with a preference for SAP users (HANA version).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an audit firm and/or multinational company.
