Our client in the Engineering Industry established in 1960 is currently searching for a General Assistant / Receptionist for the Kew office with experience and knowledge in Marketing to look after the company’s website.
In this role, you will be responsible for a wide variety of reception duties, administrative support, marketing tasks, managing the company website and assisting with accounting processes. Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
Greet visitors and clients, offering a warm and professional first impression.
Answer and direct phone calls, manage inquiries, and take accurate messages.
Manage correspondence and provide information about the organization.
Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings.
Marketing:
Develop and implement strategies to promote the organization’s products and services.
Manage social media platforms, engaging with followers, and promoting brand visibility.
Conduct market research and analyze trends to support business decisions.
Create and update content for the company website and manage Google Ads and other digital marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure marketing efforts align with sales goals.
Administration:
Manage calendars, schedules, and appointments for staff members.
Coordinate travel arrangements, including flight bookings and car rentals.
Maintain accurate records and filing systems for various administrative tasks.
Provide general administrative support including document preparation, data entry, and office supplies management.
Accounting:
Assist with the capturing and processing of stock supplier invoices.
Support the finance team in preparing and reviewing technical quotes and reports.
Help reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor accounts.
Education & Desired Experience and Requirements:
Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).
Advantageous: Marketing certifications or relevant qualifications in marketing.
Experience: 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in reception, administration, marketing, or accounting.
MUST HAVE:
Valid drivers license and own vehicle
Skills:
Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proficient in accounting software (SAP, Pastel, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
