Position Summary
Your responsibilities in this Technical Support role will involve developing, maintaining and enhancing consistent quality products and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide technical expertise to Buyers, Designers and Suppliers
· Continually develop, implement and review garment specifications
· Implement QA processes and best practice within the company and maintain and improve product quality
· Accurately assess products against company garment specifications within the critical path
· Provide Product care information and monitor adherence to correct care labelling by suppliers
· Consistent/timeous response and communication with the merchandise team and suppliers.
· Conduct Supplier SWOT analysis
· Analyze customer feedback to improve garment performance and reliability
· Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders to meet company objectives
· RequirementsQualifications: Tertiary qualification in Clothing Management or Fashion Design
· Liaise with suppliers via the Buying team, regarding specs, fits, pattern amendments and overall production/ QA queries.
· Implementation of the Shipping sample process, ensuring reports are completed, suppliers are communicated to and the company policies are enforced regarding inferior quality and shipping.
Education & Experience Requirements
· Essential: Matric and relevant tertiary qualification in Clothing Technology.
· Essential: Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role within a retail/fashion environment.
· Previous experience in ladies, mens and kidswear departments adavntageous
