At Cape Nail & Beauty Academy, we are passionate about empowering aspiring beauty therapists with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the industry. We are seeking a full time beauty therapy lecturer to join our team.
Responsibilities
– Deliver lectures and practical demonstrations on beauty therapy subjects to students; subjects include: manicures & pedicures, skincare, waxing, make up, nail technology and holistic massage.
– Create and develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
– Provide guidance and support to students, addressing their queries and concerns.
– Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments.
– Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and advancements in beauty therapy.
– Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the beauty therapy program.
Qualifications
– Hold a relevant qualification in beauty therapy or a related field
ITEC Beauty Specialist, ITEC Nail Technology & ITEC Holistic Massage (preferred)
– Possess relevant teaching or training experience in beauty therapy as well as salon experience
– Demonstrated expertise in beauty therapy techniques, treatments, and industry standards.
– Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver lectures and demonstrations.
– Proficiency in educational technologies and software used for teaching purposes.
– Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
– Excellent organisational and time management skills.
