Are you a strong software developer who has reached the point where you want to do more than just write code?
We’re looking for a technically strong, hands-on Head of Technology to work closely with senior leadership, brainstorm new ideas, solve problems and turn concepts into practical technology solutions.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with the COO and development team to:
• Take business ideas and turn them into practical technical solutions
• Brainstorm, evaluate and implement new technology initiatives
• Lead and manage a team of developers
• Oversee software development projects from concept through to delivery
• Provide technical direction and guidance to the development team
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and efficiency
• Improve existing systems, workflows and technology
• Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution
• Take ownership of key projects and ensure ideas actually move from discussion to implementation
What we’re looking for
- We’re looking for someone with a strong software development / full-stack background who has progressed into a technical leadership role.
- You should have:
- Strong full-stack development experience
- Strong experience with C#, Node.js and React
- Experience leading, mentoring or managing developers
- Strong understanding of software architecture and modern development practices
- Experience taking business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
- Strong problem-solving and project delivery skills
- The ability to work comfortably with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A hands-on approach — you should understand the technology, not simply manage it
Golang experience would be highly advantageous. If you don’t have Golang experience but are technically strong and willing to learn, you will still be considered.
This is not a traditional IT support or infrastructure position. The focus is on software development, technology leadership, innovation, process improvement and getting things done.
