POSITION INFO:
A technology‑driven organisation operating at the intersection of science, innovation, and software development is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Cape Town.
This role will see you leading the development of robust, scalable frontend solutions that support complex data‑driven platforms. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, designers, and subject‑matter experts to deliver user‑focused applications that make a meaningful difference.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of frontend application solutions
- Drive the adoption of appropriate frontend technologies and best practices
- Architect and integrate new data sources, including custom APIs
- Ensure applications are robust, responsive, scalable, and maintainable
- Guide and mentor developers within the team
- Collaborate closely with product owners and UI/UX designers to deliver solutions on brief
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or similar
- Proven experience in expert-level frontend development
- Strong proficiency in Flutter, with exposure to Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience leading frontend projects or providing technical guidance
- Working knowledge of backend development principles
- Familiarity with modern build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
